“I support the strongest standard on carbon emissions from power plants, alternatively called the Cut Climate Pollution Plan, from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), because it is the right thing to do for the planet, and because, for 45 years, my family and I have suffered from consistent degraded air quality from the Consumers Energy Campbell coal burning plant 20 miles southwest of our house….even though the Grand Rapids area where we live generates relatively little carbon pollution. This standard will hopefully speed up the closure of coal burning energy plants everywhere in the Great Lakes region, replacing them with renewable energy generation.  I urge you to implement the EPA standard in its strongest possible form!”
