“The Biden Administration has signed historically significant legislation to address climate change. However, as scientists, researchers, and advocates have pointed out, there is much more that we need to do in order to ensure that the U.S.’s powerful economy hits goals reducing pollution and playing our role in helping keep the planet’s warming within the 1.5⁰C target and mitigate the worst harms of climate change. The EPA’s plan to address carbon pollution must be supported in spite of the cries of dirty energy producers and their messengers and allies who would do whatever is in their power to put their profits over the people who will be helped and economy that will be strengthened and made more sustainable through the implementation of this rule.”
