Washington, DC – The following is a statement from Climate Action Campaign Director Margie Alt in response to the introduction by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) of a Congressional Review Act resolution which would roll back EPA’s new, strong Soot Pollution Standard.

“On his way out the door as Senate Republican Leader, Mitch McConnell is looking to squeeze in one last giveaway for Big Polluters. The EPA’s updated, strong Soot Pollution Standard will save thousands of lives and slash air pollution for people across the country. Congress must firmly reject this attempt to overturn an important Solution for Pollution.”
