“As a professional dedicated to energy and water conservation for most of my career, I am appalled at the lack of leadership, integrity and courage being displayed by our elected, appointed and empowered officials from local to the federal level and their response to this incredible threat we call climate change. The truly sad part of it is that solving it is completely achievable with current technology (and per haps some focus or boost) and that the solution would reap so many other benefits to society in the way of jobs, self-sufficiency and technology. It’s an epic failure, all because of corporate greed. African-Americans like myself all know the fallacy of profit at any cost but damned if we aren’t living through its latest iteration. Please support these efforts – or don’t – at the risk of your and your family’s peril."
