“Dirty power plants have spewed pollution into our communities for far too long, causing harm to our health and fueling the climate crisis. I’m adding my name to urge the Biden administration to finalize the strongest version of its standards to cut climate pollution from power plants by early next year. As someone who lived in the shadow of one of the biggest coal plants in the region and also one of the biggest polluters, and as someone who has seen the disproportionate and negative impacts on Indigenous communities, I understand first hand the importance of implementing strong standards that will protect our health and our communities, as well as aid in the transition to clean, renewable energy and energy efficiency. Its about time federal agencies do their job. Our climate and our communities simply cannot wait.”
