“I support the strongest standard on carbon emissions from power plants, alternatively called the Cut Climate Pollution Plan, from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), because it is an imperative. Great innovations have lead our world into unprecedented advancements. At the same time, those advancements have had unintended consequences, including; environmental degradation, the poisoning of our people and the disproportionate distribution of wealth. It will take new innovations to ameliorate the issues caused by old innovations. We must act now and forcefully to save our planet and its inhabitants. This standard will move us all into a preferred future. It will help ensure the energy needs for the future and improve the health of our planet and its people. I urge you to act bravely and move to implement these recommended standards.”
