"Pennsylvania’s power generating sector was listed as the third-dirtiest in the country, emitting nearly 80 million metric tons of CO2 in 2021. That was the state’s highest total since 2016 and its rising, according to recent reports. It’s totally unacceptable. The pollution is linked to chronic health ailments and affects environmental justice communities disproportionately. We must protect all the people of our great state. I urge the EPA to enact the strongest coal and gas fired power plant regulations that they can. We must save our people and the planet from carbon pollution that contributes to climate change.”
