"For years, the U.S. Department of Defense and our highest civil and military officials have classified climate change as the biggest threat to our national security at home and abroad. We know the unending demand of fossil fuels exacerbates pollution output, increases drought, worsens health conditions, and can be directly linked to the weaponization of war and economic instability. Within this decade Congress and government agencies must reduce US dependence on fossil fuels and dedicate our vast resources to oversee a nation-wide buildout of electrification with clean and renewable energy. As a Pennsylvania State Representative and a retired Air Force Colonel, I pledge my support of the EPA’s carbon pollution standards to reduce emissions from power plants."

Pennsylvania State Representative Joe Webster, 150th District, Collegeville, Pennsylvania
