“The EPA rules to cut climate pollution are a welcome step in the right direction to protect communities and ecosystems in North Georgia from climate damage. Power companies have been allowed to pollute our air and harm our atmosphere for too long. Power companies have shifted the burden of the pollution they cause on the public.  We pay for this with more and more disease related to this pollution including the cost of medical care for people with asthma, COPD, and other lung disease. The power companies should be finding ways to slow down their pollution and stop placing all the costs on the consumer. Power plants must be held responsible for cleaning up their act. I urge the EPA to set the strongest possible standards to cut C02 pollution from power plants."
