Bozeman Mayor-Elect Carson Taylor met with representatives from Montana State University and area businesses for a roundtable on climate change and the importance of renewable energy and sustainability on April 29. They discussed various ways individuals, businesses, and the community can work to reduce carbon pollution, as well as steps the city and university have taken to lead the way.
After the panel, participants took questions from the audience, who were interested in what they could do to further the process. Panel members encouraged the audience to reach out to higher levels of government to pressure them to take broader, more proactive steps to fight climate change. Mayor Elect Taylor said on the matter, that it is "a duty and responsibility for any government body to do what it can."
