Mann: The new governor and climate change

During this fall's gubernatorial campaign, I urged Virginians to "vote climate" because their future depends on it. Climate change is already having an effect in Virginia, with rising sea levels and an estimated 26 percent of our coastline eroding. The election presented voters with a stark contrast between the candidates: One who understands the serious threat that human-induced climate change poses to our shorelines, our health, our food supply and even our national security. And another who abused his position as attorney general to attack and suppress climate science.
